NPP, PML-N merger to open new era in Sindh politics
Tuesday, May 21, 2013 - IslamabadThe announcement of National Peoples Party (NPP) merger with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has opened a new era in the politics of Sindh. For Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), it was shocking news and they had shown a strong reaction by harassing the local supporters of NPP across the district of Naushero Faroze.
According to the people, they were threatening NPPs allies to have dire consequences in the future. Being in power in Sindh, they have started lodging fake first investigation reports (FIRs) and resorting to aerial firings on their houses to frighten them. In spite of all, we welcome the decision of NPP Chairman Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi to amalgamate NPP with PML-N in the larger interest of the province as well as the country., president of Moro Press Club and senior journalist, Bashir Laghari said.
He was of the opinion that during the 5-year PPP rule, the people of Moro had suffered a lot. The corruption and crime ratios were on the rise and the peoples prestige and properties were at stake. This merger has enlightened a ray of hope amongst the people of Moro and rest of the towns and villages of the district Naushero Feroze that PML-N would provide them security, look after their legal rights.APP
