Pakistan will visit India for a two-match football series in August third week. The matches will be played in Bangalore and such a series will be held after nine years. All India Football Federation has confirmed Pakistan's visit.

According to a report in the 'The News', Pakistan wanted to play a three-'Test' series but the Indians agreed to two. Pakistan Football Federation's (PFF) secretary Col Ahmed Yar Lodhi said the matches will be played on August 17 and 20.

Pakistan last hosted India in 2005. The three-match series played in June was won by the hosts on goal-average.

The first game held in Quetta ended in a 1-1 draw. In the second, India beat Pakistan 1-0 in Peshawar. However, Pakistan came back strongly and crushed the visitors 3-0 in the third fixture in Lahore.

Pakistan are preparing for the Asian Games in September in South Korea. After the India series, Pakistan will travel to Bahrain for a one-off match.
