KARACHI: Nizam Energy (Pvt) Limited, an alternative energy venture based in Pakistan, has announced its strategic partnership with Canadian Solar Inc., one of the largest solar module manufacturers in the world, according to a statement on Monday.
The aim of the partnership is to launch quality solar modules and provide best quality solar energy products in Pakistan, it said.
This was announced at a press conference jointly addressed by representatives of Canadian Solar and Nizam Energy who provided detailed information to the media.
Usman Ahmed, director of Nizam Energy said, Our aim is to create awareness about the substandard and uncertified solar products currently available in Pakistan. These low quality products are leading to loss of confidence in solar energy among the people.
In these times of dire energy issues, there is a need for a long-term sustainable solution in our country and alternative energy is the answer. This is why Nizam Energy is taking the initiative to address the need for solar products in Pakistan by offering these products at competitive prices backed by Canadian Solar Global Warranties.
NIZAM Energy plans to train and carry out capacity building of certified Installers and engineers in Pakistan. Currently there is a lack of trained installers and no leading institution offers a concrete programme on solar energy applications in Pakistan, according to the statement.
Trained solar engineers and installers will be a great benefit and provide a great boost in Pakistan and the MENA region where several GW projects are planned to be installed in the near future.
