Normally the one who commands most support in Parliament is invited by the Prez to form the govt and swear in. Delays are always unhealthy.

Delays are talking place because of ECP they have not issued notices yet Sir the issue is not because of President and Army

Nawaz Sharif is so paranoid of the army, keeping the defence ministry with himself to keep checks on every nitty gritty. THese brothers have a habit of keeping multiple portfolios, Shahbaz SHarif did this in Punjab previously.

BTW, I wouldn't read too much into these newspaper reports, some said the cabinet will be of 12 members.

This has been the trend in BD also. The civilian CE just doesn't realize that he is the boss. A Defense Minister is a good barrier between the CE and the military. Otherwise a tendency develops to command the Services from the PM/President's House. In our case all decisions are taken by an Adviser who is a relative. Both BNP and BAL really turned the PM's House into a MS Branch. In Pakistan the military is stronger. But mishaps can happen. For instance, Tariq Pervez (TP) was prematurely retired by Nawaz S because there was no Defense Minister in between to explain the personal / professional differences between Mush and some Corps Commanders. After TP no Corps Commander would dare to say anything that MUsh wouldn't want to hear. Having all "yes" guys at the highest military hierarchy is not a good thing for any nation.

YES! Zahid Hamid is not Zaid Hamid, but, he (Zahid Hamid) is the BIGGEST LOTA known in Pakistan. He was with every Govt. (including Mush) in last 25 years. He changes his stance according to the need. Therefore, it is not a good start from NS.
