After United States apologized for attacking our Soldiers, Pakistan opened the supply line for NATO forces in Afghanistan. But there are some restriction this time around.

Taliban and other insurgents in the tribal areas are getting weapons and training from external forces according to the military. Gen. Kayani has bee quoted as saying, "US knows fully well who is supporting the Haqani Network". He said this after ISI was accused of supporting them. Gn. Kyani's remark hints that someone is supporting these groups. In another example, the host of a show called kyun travels to dir and interviews some military officials. They also happen to agree that these groups have sophisticated weapons which are provided by external forces.

Now one might wonder, "How do these people get weapons". Afghanistan is a country destroyed by war. There are no weapon factories. It probably costs millions for Pak Army to manufacture and supply weapons and munitions to the soldiers. How indeed do these people get weapons? There are two opinions, one of them pretty obvious. The first of the two is that agencies like RAW are supplying them these weapons through Afghanistan. Now you know why Pakistan doesn't want India in Afghanistan. If they can do this without being there, what will they do if they are physically there? I haven't seen a lot of people discuss the second reason. This is, by the way, where NATO supply comes in.

I will get straight to the point. From 2007 to 2010 around 3396 NATO containers went missing within Pakistan after they left Karachi for Afghanistan. The interesting part is that a lot of these containers carry WEAPONS!! Is it possible that foreign agencies were re-routing these containers to insurgents? This explains how attacker got sophisticated weaponry. This also explains how attacker were able to penetrate highly secure locations like PNS. Mehran (They have support from the agencies). Few months ago, NATO supply was shut after allied forces attacked a Pakistan Army check post near the Afghan-Pak border killing 24 soldiers.

Yesterday, Pakistan re-opened the supply line but, curiously, on some conditions. One of those conditions is that no weapons will be allowed. Now that's very interesting. Further more, all the containers will be scanned before leaving Karachi. "Each container will be 100% checked before departure" - Chairman FBR Mumtaz Haider Razvi. If that's not enough, each container will have a tracking system implanted in it which will make sure that it doesn't go off route. These developments seem to support the theory that the containers that went missing had weapons that were distributed to insurgents. Come to think of it, it is possible that one of the reasons the supply line was closed was due to this issue.

Any ways, what do you guys think? Sources below! A civilized discussion please!

Where's your link, newbie? Or is this a figment of your convoluted imagination?

So, according to what you wrote, RAW is arming the Taliban (Haqqani)! But then Pakistan says that RAW is arming the TTP!! Why can't you guys decide who RAW is supporting?

The world says that the Pakistani Establishment is supporting the Taliban (Haqqani/Omar). Strange, therefore, that RAW is supporting the Taliban (Haqqani/Omar) too!! :cheesy:

Confusion confounded! I'm outta here!
