NATO extends Libya mission for 90 days

NATO announced to extend its mission for 90 days, after Gaddafi made it clear he would not quit.



The 28-member alliance originally took over a campaign of air strikes, the enforcement of a no-fly zone and an arms embargo on Libya in late March for 90 days.



NATO Secretary-General Anders Rasmussen said, “Our decision also sends a clear message to the people of Libya. NATO, our partners, the whole international community stands united, we stand with you. We stand united to make sure you can shape your own future, and that day is getting closer.”

When they attacked, Obama and others said they don't want a government change and now they are baying for quaddafi's blood... and American population is worried sick about a possibility of higher taxation to fund the deficit and every new missile fired or sortie undertaken just adds to that burden further, other than adding future enemies.. When will Americans learn when to call it a day and stop being the savior of the world? especially when their own home situation is 'amost bankrupt' and when they go kaput, they will take the world economy back to stone age and still they don't learn

I still remember seeing videos of Americans welcomed in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan by happy civilians, many many years back. Today, after thousands of deaths and millions traumatized, look at where they ... NATO increasingly sounds like a synonym of Big Bully!

As far as I understand it, americans, french and british are bombing tripoli, not others.
