Mumbai Attack: Ajmal Kasab was arrested by RAW from Nepal and brought to India, Former Maharashtra I

DELHI – Former Indian inspector-general S M Mushrif has claimed that Ajmal Kasab was arrested before 2006 from Kathmandu by the Indian agency RAW with the help of Nepalese forces.

In his explosive book called ‘Who killed Karkare?’, Mushrif said that there were six individuals involved in the CST-Cama-Rangbhavan operation.

Mushrif claims that Ajmal Kasab, the only alleged attacker captured alive, was already in police custody, and there is no evidence linking him to the attack.

Anita Uddaiya, a witness who not only saw the attackers land at Badhwar Park but actually spoke to them, confirmed there were six individuals, and that Kasab was not one of them. Uddaiya was ultimately dropped as a prosecution witness and had a police case filed against her when she refused to change her story; yet she was able to identify the bodies of the six in J J Hospital, suggesting that she was a reliable witness.

The book further claims that reports as well as a transcript of police communications established that the two gunmen in a vehicle intercepted by the police at Girgaum Chowpathy were both killed, so Kasab could not have been one of them. The much-publicised photographs of Kasab at the station could have been taken before or even after the incident, if he was in the custody of the IB.

From his experience as a police officer, Mushrif opines that recovering DNA samples or fingerprints from a fishing trawler or inflatable dinghy that had been at sea for hours would have been essentially impossible. He pours scorn on the “ridiculous” procedure whereby an accused whose pictures had been publicised for months was purportedly “identified” by witnesses, Himalmag writes while reviewing the book.

The author went on to say that the practice of kidnapping innocent people from Kathmandu and presenting them as terrorists after keeping them in custody is very common in India.

This dude had nothing to do with investigating this case. He wrote this book after entering politics. Hoping to do "islamist" politics. That automatically requires one to claim mossad carried out 9-11, raw carried out mumbai, RSS is the biggest terror group, Islamic state is controlled by India, mumbai terrorists wore Hindu bands and drank alcohol and spoke Marathi, all Jews received advance notice of 9-11, om puri was killed by Modi for saying good things about Pakistan, bin Laden was not head of al Qaida, al Qaida was controlled by CIA, he died in 2006, Baghdadi is an ex Israeli soldier, Taliban terrorists are uncircumcised sikhs, RPGs are made in India etc etc. Such claims are backed by Cooked up hearsay and "logic". There is a ready audience for such stories. Typically people who are terrorist apologists. The like button on the OP will be the who is who of that group.

Pakistan has to deal with the Mumbai mayhem, planned and launched from its soil. This requires facing the truth and admitting mistakes. The entire state security apparatus must ensure that the perpetrators and masterminds of the ghastly terror attacks are brought to justice. The case has lingered on for far too long. Dilatory tactics by the defendants, frequent change of trial judges, and assassination of the case prosecutor as well as retracting from original testimony by some key witnesses have been serious setbacks for the prosecutors. However, cognizance was taken by the Islamabad High Court which directed the trial to be concluded within two months.

The following facts are pertinent. First, Ajmal Kasab was a Pakistani national, whose place of residence and initial schooling as well as his joining a banned militant organisation was established by the investigators. Second, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were imparted training near Thatta, Sindh and launched by sea from there. The training camp was identified and secured by the investigators. The casings of the explosive devices used in Mumbai were recovered from this training camp and duly matched. Third, the fishing trawler used by the terrorists for hijacking an Indian trawler in which they sailed to Mumbai, was brought back to harbour, then painted and concealed. It was recovered by the investigators and connected to the accused. Fourth, the engine of the dinghy abandoned by the terrorists near Mumbai harbour contained a patent number through which the investigators traced its import from Japan to Lahore and then to a Karachi sports shop from where an LeT-linked militant purchased it along with the dinghy. The money trail was followed and linked to the accused who was arrested. Fifth, the ops room in Karachi, from where the operation was directed, was also identified and secured by the investigators. The communications through Voice over Internet Protocol were unearthed. Sixth, the alleged commander and his deputies were identified and arrested. Seventh, a couple of foreign-based financiers and facilitators were arrested and brought to face trial.

If kasab was under police custody for more than 2 years how come there was no FIR, No court case, he wasn't sent to jail either. So was he staying with the former IG for 2 freaking long years ???

That's a trap. You are falling into the trap of using "logical conjectures" and "probable improbable" kind of arguments. This is how they make these conspiracy theories. If you start arguing using such low standards for what is essentially matters of "facts" then they win.

Example : conspiracy theory : how can Windows on other floors break when a plane impacts WTC? It must be a missile.

Now if you think getting into a physics discussion to prove that plane we saw live with superstitious people who think magic exists is going to help your cause? The facts are there for everyone to see. If one wants to close their eyes and imagine Jews and Hindus instead of their heroes, while lining up to celebrate the same heroes on different occassions, arguing with these people is not going to make a difference.
