Hello Sir,Nothing historical about it. This is an incorrect narrative presented to try and solve a real problem.
His initial statement is based on a false assumption as well.
Pakistan was never entirely secular as people from more affluent or western inclinations suggest nor was it completely some caliphate as our religious right would like to think. One does for self interest to preserve their freedom of lifestyle and the other for political gain.
The true nature of Pakistan was to allow Muslims to be be able to decide their fate in an amicable manner. Since they cannot even decide which of them are Muslims and which are not; essentially the Muslim population of Pakistan has in ts own self killed the golden gift delivered to them on 27th Ramadan.
The remainder is the result of self serving rulers from both civilian and military guises; each only representing the average of Pakistani mindset.
Musharraf was a dictator who served his interest, and the "Mufti" and his complaints are but a valiant but pointless effort.
