MQM rejects Local Govt Act 2013

KARACHI: Rejecting the Local Government Act 2013, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) move of tabling the bill which was approved by the Sindh Assembly.

During a telephonic speech on Monday, Mr Hussain said that the PPP wanted rural-Urban and Sindh-non-Sindhi division in the province with the approval of the bill, which he said was tantamount to imposing British Raj.

He said that the PPP was hatching a conspiracy through this legislation but Sindhis and Baloch would foil its attempts to divide the province.

He appealed to the people to vote for MQM candidates in the by-elections. Hussain also said that conspiracies were being hatched against him at the international level.

secondly didn't MQM wish to divide rurual and urban Sindh itself by saying let's have 2 systems in place in Sindh one for Hyderabad & Karachi and one for rest of Sindh? so how can MQM today claim that PPP is trying to divide Sindh when clearly it is trying to make a uniform system (correct or wrong is a different debate).

SPLGO was the best system, MQM worked for five years to make PPP finally agree on it, the systems of rural and urban are always different, in the whole world

the metropolitan systems was not only meant to stablished in MQM holds of hyderabad and karachi but nawabshah, mirpurkhan, sukkur and larkana

this present system divides karachi into three system, one part of karachi will be government by mayor, another part will have administrator, and another part will have comissioners

and thats what objectionable to MQM

He said 2 systems are being put in place & they shouldn't be! and I am AGREEING WITH MQM on this. like I said before jazbaati maat houaa kaaro paar liyaa kaaro!

that 2 systems in one province one for the poor and one for the rich & educated is NOT GOOD! one uniform system for all of the province infact all country is good!

as for Karachi being divided into 3 parts! well I guess neither is that acceptable nor is the division based on rural and urban areas! NO DIVISION AT ALL.





now my question is:

WILL MQM BOYCOTT this "system" that they are calling conspiracy or will it participate?
