The most important problem which Pakistan is facing is Terrorism, or Militancy; misusing the nationalism and religion.
Let us think more objectively about the solution of this problem. We will discuss the problem of Militancy in Fata and KPK also affecting other parts of Pakistan at different times. For time being we have to forget about the foreign hands, or theories which explain the presence of militancy. I will also ignore the disputed good and bad Taliban, but we will focus the reasons of militancy.
It is clear that majority of our people are Illiterate, but they have folk prudence, what hurt the situation more is the natural handling of issues with our extreme emotional state of mind and above all our lust for money and power.
We have to think with our heads on our shoulder, mutual counseling is required before taking decision, national consensus is very important while taking some actions.
with a decade of terrorism in our country and with three decades of unrest and civil wars in neighboring Afghanistan it is pretty easy to classify Taliban into three groups.
1st category is the directly recruited people who cannot be changed; there are some people who take direct orders from their facilitators so they must be eliminated, no mercy for them.
2nd category of Taliban are those who are either poor and jobless, and they are attracted by the lucrative salaries offered by TTP, there are also some people who were temporarily impressed by the show of power, now those people cannot find any way out. They must be released from the unruly clutches of these hard liners lest they also reach at the point of no return.
Third type is of those who, after seeing the increasing influence of Taliban in their vicinity joined the ranks of TTP, to save the honor of their families and save themselves from their enemies who had already joined TTP. They, very reluctantly, joined Taliban ranks, this also include those people whose relatives are killed by Pak Army, accidentally. They in rush of emotions, join the ranks of Taliban, and now cannot find any way out.
Each of the types should be treated separately, and with care. If we blindly follow our years old formula of forgiving all as a whole, and killing all this has never worked and will not work, and will rather intensify the problem as it is increased over years.
type one are chronic cases, nothing can change them, and their lists of crimes are so high that we cannot forgive them. But we have to separate type 2 and type 3 of Taliban who are the majority of TTP strength with great care. Creating jobs, providing security to their families, and also by respecting them we can make them leave TTP, and once these people or a large number of them part their ways with TTP, it will lose their advantage of getting fresh recruits and the whole problem will die on its own.
If we keep on the decade long blind brainless handling of TTP: either forgiving all of them which gave them time to regroup and their number has increased, if we go for killing them all, we will also help them win the sympathies, and their strength will increase. we must think collectively, devise a solid plan and then propagate it so much that it reach the minds of the decision makers, Rome was not built in a day,
On the other hand waving the hands in despair and making sad faces cannot solve the problems either. It is our common problem and we must take action.
In the above mentioned formula we can also limit the number of locally available youth which are easily recruited by the miscreants; the character of Ullema is also very important as TTP misuse Islam as their basic ideology. Security must be provided to the Ullemas, and Ullemas should also take this problem as a Jihad, and clear all the confusions about Islam.
Liberals Extremists also blindly criticize the Madrassas, they are right to some extent, but we must check for those Madrassas which opened during Afghan Jihad to provide religiously motivated young blood for the furnace of war. The ratio of people in TTP is almost same, of those who came out of schools, or those who got education in Madrassas.
There are Madrassas which are doing tremendous job. If someone visit Jamia Binoria, or Jamia Rashidiya or Dar ul Ulloom Karachi, and many other madrassas, their students have more knowledge, and their knowledge is not specific, it is vast and multi-dimensional at times they are even more prudent than our PhDs. It is time to refrain from blaming each other and join hands to defend our Homeland Pakistan from the dirty hands of miscreants.
Pakistan Zindabad.
