How the hell can you just pack up and expect another country to sort out all your problems for you? Yes there is crime, dirt, no opportunity in Guatemala, Honduras etc. As a people you need to sort it out, as it's coming from the people. Let's not forget how previous generations from these countries have 'distinguished' themselves in crime.
Also they're certainly not as poor as states in Africa, in actual fact they don't even come in the bottom 40.
I hope the US stops this.
