I m sorry. A great initiative but the way you manage things, it will be another expensive and flop project.

You dont build institutions that can sustain such project in the long term, you want to keep all powers in your hand. Thats a very desi and backward method of managing. Since oyu are a family mafia, send your kids to foreign universities and and ask them to work in foreign firms. In that way they will learn new skills.

If the fate of Pakistanis is to elect again and again family mafias like you, then it will be some solace to know that your family members have some skills which may remotely help Pakistan.

Planning has always been the issue.

Lahore has a population of more than 15 million people, it needed a Railway Metro Underground badly. BRT is not a bad thing, but it cannot serve to be profitable and sustainable for long term. Since Lahore is a proper city and a capital of Punjab of course, one should expect it to have the kind of development plan that will see less road lanes and more buildings/residential properties in place of it. The underground i say is beneficial because i see London, Madrid, and Tokyo using it as a success...

As far as other cities are concerned, i definitely believe Faislabad and Rawalpindi should get BRT. For Multan, i would leave it for Trams. Its a city of rich Islamic history and culture, and can serve as a great deal for tourism.

The whole steel and cement used in the project was from nawazs steel and cement mills and that have skyrocketed the profits of nishat mills owed by these two brothers and they further want to use their own factory materials in other projects too in other cities and congratulations you found a new way to become richer by looting people indirectly!
