Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea are China's most reliable allies in the Pacific. Vietnam, Indonesia, Phillipines are neutral. Japan, Taiwan, Australia are hostile.

This is a present reality that many Americans including Biden, Blinken, Sullivan, etc are finding very hard to swallow.

None of these nations are willing to be viewed as siding with USA.

Even Singapore FM is in China today to meet with his Chinese counterpart.

China never needed them to side with her unlike Biden USA.

Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Phillipines, Japan, Taiwan and Australia will all be China's most reliable allies in the Pacific as long as China military is strong enough to cover them up and push Yankees out.

This is world politics.
China best friend in ASEAN is Cambodia.
China best friend is PLA. I am just kidding, but sadly that's how world run.

peak degeneracy is when you think that ASEAN will join forces with the PLA kicking out yankees.

Yeah, keep dreaming to split the unity of Asian people :D

We are Asian 'Pure blood' will protect our Asia.
Especially from those Asian 'Dirty blood' who always lick western masters & Downgrade themselves as western puppet dog

China's priority has not been to match US ,ship to ship, china has always vyed for asymmetric advantage ,the kind that doesn't bleed the economy dry in maintenance like in case of the USA. China would need some strategic changes in that case,as china gets wealthier, that process might be already underway.West has been and always be an eternal threat to east,it has been historically that way . But China has to confirm the final sets of boundaries and assure all their neighbour that China wouldn't cross that line if China actually wants a coalition to remove the US from pacific,US presence in pacific is partly enabled due to the vague claims among the asian nations.

China seems to be making the same mistake that Japan made in 19th century that plunged Japan in an unwinnable war against the coalition of west,Japan was too shackled by their own ideals and front ,Japan didn't leave itself with much room for political maneuver in their negotiation with the US,when US was vying for war . Though China is more tactful in these games but the political line against japan is still very restrictive.

Japan did have chance to win, but their Industrial might & manpower cannot support their big ambition.

Meanwhile China,
Have Industrial might & manpower to support their ambition. Despite Chinese ambition are more pragmatic

Singapore and South Korea with almost all western weapons and US bases will be Chinese Allies??😂😂

Please indicate whether that is a joke or are you serious?

Japan never had the chance,Japan had too less manpower and resources ,yes china is a different ball game in that regards, but given the choice yet again,Japan would buy time and refuse the war imo.

If I was chinese policymaker,I would absolutely ditch the old inconvenient anti Japanese propaganda concocted 4 decades ago ,it wouldn't be too hard ,for many in china do hate japan but on the other hand chinese still look up to japan with admiration.China don't need Japanese boogeman,US and UK are enough. The island issues need to be settled with a memorandum of understand ,along with the nk nukes problem, which is the root cause for US military presence in both SK and JAPAN. JP&SK would never be free from US influence unless the USmilitary is removed from their soil. China should focus on removing US base from these two most important players in the east, they are more valuable than eu for China.
After that a COC needs to be settled for the SCS ,without involving US .
