Lollywood veterans demand 'low cinema ticket price'

Pakistani cinema legends Javed Sheikh and Sangeeta expressed their concern over the expensive cinema tickets
AYESHA GHAFFAR ABOUT 7 HOURS AGO
Going to the cinema has become an ordeal for a commoner in the country. With the passage of time, cinemas have become a past time hobby and entertainment experience for a certain class of the country because of over priced tickets.

The current price of cinema tickets across the country range from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1300, making it impossible for a layman to step into a cinema house.

Sangeeta’s upcoming film features Danish Taimoor and Quratulain

While many remain mum about it, Lollywood megastars Javed Sheikh and Sangeeta have expressed their concern about the skyrocketing cinema ticket prices.

"There should be reduction in prices in order to promote and encourage more people to come to cinemas and watch movies," said Sheikh.

Agreeing with Javed Sheikh, Sangeeta added; "This is in the best interest of the industry and it is truly something to think about."

Kubra Khan set to star in Javed Sheikh's Wujood

Starring Danish Taimoor, Sangeeta's upcoming film 'Tum Hee Ho' is slated for release next week while Sheikh's movie 'Wujood' which also stars Taimoor as the leading face of the film awaits a confirmed release date.

With many promising movies set to release in the months to come, will the cinema authorities consider the advice of these two Lollywood stars? We'll have to wait and see.

I'd rather sit on the ground for a masterpiece
than in full comfort for a crappy soft romance.

I'll suggest you see Cinema Paradiso for instance.
A truck with a big screen reaches even villages.

You're right for urban centers of course but that
only concerns privileged kids and "yuppies".

Anyway, good day all, Tay.
