LOC - Indian Soldiers succumbs; border firing toll mounts to 13

An army soldier wounded in cross-LoC firing in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir died on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 13 in border skirmishes between the armies of India and Pakistan since Thursday.

A source said that the army man had suffered bullet injuries in Mendhar area of the district. “He was being treated at a hospital in Rajouri. However, he succumbed today,” said the source.


Calm prevailed along the LoC and the International border on Tuesday with no skirmishes reported between the armies of two countries following five days of shelling and exchange of gunfire.

Earlier, seven civilians and five forces' personnel were killed in the firing exchange.

We will know the real amount of Pakistani casualties this year in 2019.

Just like it came out in 2018, 35 Pakistani soldiers died in LoC firing in 2017:




So it means out of 87, 35 were Pakistan army soldiers and 52 were civilians.
