These are leftist small groups of Palestinians born and living in Syria. They are not religious and group was likely forced into supporting the regime or face exile out of Syria. Palestinians overwhelmingy don't support the Assad regime. It's a backwards murderous regime and Syrian people deserve better.

No Palestinian should partake in Syrian hostilities. Syrian brutal regime and groups like ISIS tried forcing them into fighting in some of the refugee camps and it is unfortunate. Either way the future for Syria requires change. Assad may be more rational man himself but he is not in control of anything there.
