Sir, one of the big differences is that while the army in Turkey is extremely influential and powerful, it is not a complete deep state like ours. The reason for this is that Turkey has very strong civilian institutions, most importantly its main intelligence agency, the MIT. The MIT probably also played a serious role in preventing the success of the coup attempt several years ago (it was also one of the first things that the coup plotters attacked with helicopter gunships).

Pakistan is one of the only countries in the modern era (not counting total banana republics) that has a powerful army which ALSO runs the main intelligence agency. All other nations realized decades ago that this is a recipe for disaster as it creates an unaccountable power monopoly.

Finally, even opposition politicians stood against the attempted army interference. Not to mention that Erdogan had earlier totally transformed Turkey's economy.
