KARACHI: At least four alleged suspects were apprehended and one was shot dead by the personnel of law enforcement agencies at Kathor, near National Highway, in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The LEAs claim that the arrested suspects were planning to attack University of Karachi within few days, one of their accomplice, Abdul Amin, was gunned down during his attempt to flee from the spot, further adding that a truck was confiscated from their possession, which would have been used for a suicide attack at the varsity.
10kg bomb explosives, five kilo ball bearing and a detonator was recovered from the suspects, authorities claimed.
