Well as you can see in the video (time 0:12) instead of stopping and putting his hands up he outstretched his arm with a metal object in it and swung it around towards the officer on the right in the dark (not a smart move). The officer on the left shot him. Later it was found to be a knife. A gas station down the street had just been robbed.
LOL! People (usually racists themselves) have been saying that (more like praying and dreaming for it) every year since 1968 (now at year 48). Things were far worse back then.

I think your best weapon is your super low profile. I bet 99.99% of Americans (including myself) can't even name the Canadian Prime Minister. You guys just hang around up there in complete stealth mode.
