Koreans' racism attack on Little Psy as he is a Vietnamese Korean

Seoul (The Korea Herald/ANN) - The police are set to launch an investigation into alleged racist online attacks aimed at Hwang Min-woo, a 7-year-old singer who shot to fame after appearing in the music video for Psy's "Gangnam Style."
Since appearing in the video, Hwang has gained fame as "Little Psy" and has appeared in numerous events and television shows and commercials.
Buoyed by the popularity of Gangnam Style, Hwang has also launched his own career and released his first single in March.
According to reports, the police were alerted by an official at Hwang's management company to an organized online attack against Hwang.
According to the police, more than 10 internet users who appear to be members of the website Ilgan Best (Ilbe.com) cooperated in paralyzing the homepage of Hwang's management company on April 23.
Ilgan Best is a website focused on humor and social issues whose users are mostly conservative.
In addition, there are reported to be hundreds of derogatory comments ranging from those attacking him for his heritage and his hometown.
Hwang is reported to have been shocked by the comments and has become increasingly withdrawn since March.
His mother is originally from Vietnam, and until recently he lived in Gwangju, which is often attacked by internet users with strong rightwing tendencies due to the city's connection with progressive parties and to misperceptions about historical events.
Although the number of multicultural families has been on the rise since the late 1990s, such families and marriage immigrants are often subjected to prejudice.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the number of marriage immigrants stood at about 145,000 at the end of 2011. Of the total, about 25.8 percent were women from Vietnam.

this is shocking, they even won't allow a 7 year-old kid and even half Korean....as they seemed forget the bitterness of being invaded and mistreated in the very near and old history.

Plastic surgery is on the average meter in most other nations either in the US or China or Europe.

South Korea is the only rare exception where most people do this face changing. I really don't understand this phenominon, if any explanation, out of their inferior complex.

Most of North Vietnamese are of North Asian racial type, but unfortunately, most of Vietnamese woman married to Korean are poor, low-educated girls from the South of Vietnam, many of them look like Phillipinos or Cambodian.

In contrary to people belief, facial surgery are not very common in Korea. I never meet any during living there. I think, the phenomenon concentrate mostly on celebrities.

Only a minor incident ?
Many years ago I had a colleague. He was a dark skin Indian. He married a Chinese lady. One day the company, a multinational, sent him to Korea for assignment. He saw this apportunity and brought his Chinese wife along with him. While they were walking along a street, a Korean stranger came up and slap his wife in the face obviously mistaken her for a Korean.
This is a true but happen many years ago.

Korea a basically a one ethnic race country much like Japan. So not brought up in a multi racial surroundings.

China has the history of believing that it is the only civilized people on earth. All others are barbarians and must submit to the emperor.

Koreans are pathetic enough that it regard itself as the first among the barbarians people that submit to China, so its superior to any none Chinese. But it regard itself as inferior to China. I feel sad for them because no one should regard themselves inferior to others.

A man in north China who married a woman on account of her exceptional beauty filed for divorce -- and won the lawsuit - after finding out that his wife was actually an "extremely ugly" woman who had undergone a series of plastic surgery.

In a classic case of beauty being skin deep, the truth came out after an "incredibly ugly" daughter was born to the couple.

Feng Jian couldn't bear his wife's lies and took her to the court earlier this year, seeking a divorce and nearly 750,000 yuan (US$120,150) in compensation. To everyone's surprise, he won the lawsuit, according a TV program broadcast in east China's Anhui Province.

Feng said he began having doubts about his wife's "fidelity" when he noticed their new-born daughter was "incredibly ugly" and didn't look like either of the parents. The husband then accused the woman of sleeping with another man, who was allegedly the child's father.

Overwhelmed by Fang's accusations, the woman, whose identity wasn't disclosed, said she had spent about 620,000 yuan on plastic surgeries to have a pretty face before she met Feng.

She never told Feng about those surgeries, the program said.

The outraged man then filed a lawsuit, claiming the woman had lured him to marry her under false pretenses and called it a fraud.

His plea was accepted by the court.
