Saudi Arabia will remain a lighthouse of tolerance and moderation, said Asir Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khaled while distributing Abha annual awards for excellence on Tuesday night.
Prince Faisal urged people and officials in the region to excel in their fields of work to take the country to new heights of progress and prosperity. “This award is for all of you,” he said while honoring 47 winners.
He stressed his administration’s plan to develop the prize, taking it to new heights, adding new thoughts and ideas. The ceremony took place at King Fahd Cultural Stage in Muftaha.
The national service prize was received by Al-Falaqi Council in Mahayil Asir while the general service prize for government departments went to the civil affairs department. The economic prize was bagged by Dr. Abdullah Al-Muzhir Dental Hospital in Khamis Mushait.
Hussein Ahmed Al-Zaidani won the culture prize for his stage drama named Al-Fasila, while Naji Ali Haraba received the best poet prize. Yahya Al-Asiri, Khaled Al-Otaibi and Khidr Al-Lahyani shared the best prize for scientific research.
Others winners were: General Organization for Social Insurance (IT), Saudi Electricity Company (electronic services), Najran University (educational website) and Souda resort (for protection of environment). Agriculture Minister Fahd Balghonaim, Shoura Secretary-General Muhammad Al-Amr and General Organization for Grain Silos and Flourmills Director General Walid Al-Kheraiji attended the ceremony.

This is an over statement. Tolerance measures should be seen by freedom to women and public.
