No, I am not talking about PDF.

This is a video made for the Operator of a MQ-9 Drone. The operation explain what she have to do and how drone work and also what kind of experience you need to operate one.

Quite an interesting video.

keyboard warrior is an insult and one of the worst ones. It takes talent to operate a drone.

Keyboard warrior is the common "Slang" name used amongst Drone Operator, I know, I used to be one...

I didn't know that it was used as a slang for drone operators. How was the experience for you over all being a drone operator?

Well, that was a term coming from "Flying Keyboard". Like when somebody ask someone what's he's flying, someone replied "Oh, he is flying keyboard", which I am not going to lies, is a degrading term for a pilot of any sort making fun on a drone operator who also a fully qualified pilot, and then somehow it reaches the term "Keyboard Warrior" probably because we call anyone or anything in the Army "Warrior", even tho we don't use keyboard flying drone in the army. IIRC there were patch made for Drone Operator with slogan like "Proud Keyboard Warrior"

I am not the kind that fly MQ-1 or MQ-9, I operate smaller recce drone (like the Shadow) when I was in Afghanistan, however I did also look at footage and was in a situation room with MQ-1 pilots who flew them, cos I need to know what's going on. Flying drone is quite exciting, but they make it look like you are playing video games, they give you an xbox controller and a screen, you fly the drone and you get the feedback off the screen.

But for a large drone, you have a joystick and a computer in front of you (like you saw in the video), I think that is a totally different ball game

Sounds interesting I hope you make another thread on your own experiences here.
