The video of the incident has been widely shared on 'YouTube' and other social networking sites.

Srinagar:
Highlights
  1. The vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree
  2. One soldier was trapped inside the badly damaged vehicle
  3. Some passersby shot the entire incident on their mobile phones
Kashmiri men today rescued a soldier who was trapped inside a mangled vehicle which had met with an accident on Srinagar Bypass road near Lasjan area of Srinagar.

An army vehicle veered off the road after the driver lost control at Lasjan and hit a tree, a police official said.

He said one soldier was trapped inside the badly damaged vehicle and efforts of other army men to evacuate him did not fructify."Local Kashmiri youth rushed to the spot and managed to bring the injured army jawan out by placing a truck next to the damaged army vehicle," the official said.

Some passersby shot the entire incident on their mobile phones.

The video of the incident has been widely shared on 'YouTube' and other social networking sites.

The incident comes amidst the ongoing unrest which has claimed 84 lives and thousands others injured in clashes between protestors and security forces.

In July, local residents of Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district defied curfew to rescue over 20 Amarnath pilgrims whose vehicle had met with an accident during the beginning of the current unrest.

Kashmir: His brothers joined security forces but he is a stone pelter on run
The Kashmir police is trying to track down the teen who is identified as a troublemaker, even as his brothers chose to serve the country.

October 5, 2016

He's just 17 and a stone-pelter, and his parent in a north Kashmir village is appealing to the police and politicians to spare the youngster. He's the youngest among the three brothers who has been identified as a troublemaker. The police are looking out for him, even as dark cloud looms over his future.

The young man's father works in a top hotel in Srinagar. Of the three brothers, one is a bright officer in the CRPF who earned a reward posting for fighting hard against the Maoists. The second son is in the BSF. With two of his sons serving the country so well, the father hopes that the errant youngest son will be spared. However, he has been told that such an exception may not be made, as the police in Kashmir is trying to track him down.

Right now the number of stone-pelting incidents are down to a trickle. Only two incidents of stone-pelting were reported last week, and one incident a week before that. The numbers are at the lowest in a span of three months in Kashmir Valley ever since protests broke out following the killing Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani on 8 July.

The turnaround came after directions from the Central government to crackdown on instigators and so-called "motivators" leading the crowd. About 4,000 stone pelters have been arrested and booked under various sections of the Ranbir Penal Code ( RPC).

Yes!
Once they understand the truth of Kashmir, they would ,for their own good, stop believing the lies fed to them and will begin questioning it.
It matters!!!

Remaining silent for so long hasnt helped. Has it?
