ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani High Commission in India has invited top Kashmiri pro-independence leaders, including the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and veteran Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Geelani, for a meeting with visiting Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.

Pakistanís Deputy High Commissioner Syed Zulfikar talked to Mirwaiz, Geelani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, the JKLF and other liberation leaders on telephone, and invited them for holding a meeting with Khar on July 26, the Kashmir Media Service has reported.

The leaders have accepted the invitation and are leaving for New Delhi to meet Khar and brief her about the prevailing political scenario in Kashmir. Khar will be arriving in New Delhi on a two-day visit on July 26. During the meeting with Khar, Geelani would stress on making Kashmir the core issue during talks with her Indian counterpart, said the spokesman of the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader.

Why is Khar coming to India? Are some foreign minister level talks scheduled to be held?

Yes:

Foreign ministers’ talks on 27th

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar will visit India next week at the invitation of her Indian counterpart S.M. Krishna for the foreign minister-level talks on July 27, the Foreign Office announced here on Thursday.

The talks will be preceded by a meeting of the foreign secretaries of the two countries on July 26.

At a recent meeting with Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal, Ms Khar expressed satisfaction at the resumption of the talks and called for making the dialogue process “uninterrupted and uninterruptible”, to help build trust between the two countries.

The peace process between Pakistan and India was stalled by the 2008 Mumbai attacks.—APP

What are the red lines?

She shouldn't have invited that indian hindu man for a handshake, she doesn't understand Pakistani culture it seems and this is not the way Pakistani women act, even though that indian man is so old.

A very narrow minded view to say the least.

Why interject 'hindu' ? Would it have been allright if the Indian FM was a Muslim ?

If not then why ' Hindu ' ?

She is supposed to represent the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and its frowned upon in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan if a Muslim woman shakes a man's hand. Its not our culture.

By the way, that man is hindu....I didnt make anything up.
