The time is not too far when Pakistan will itself stop threatening India with nuclear toys and China won't measure its strength by missile technology as India is all set to become a missile-proof country where no uninvited missiles could dare to touch Indian soil. Indian scientists are working on a top secret project under which the smartest military weapon of the 21st century is being developed which is named after Hindu goddess Kali.

In Scientific term, KALI stands for 'Kilo Ampere Linear Injector'. Defence, Indian Defence, Indian Armed Forces, Defence News, India Defence News, Indian Defence News, Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, US Defense News, UK Defence News, World Defence News brings you an inside update on how the world's deadliest weapon system works. It is designed to work in such a way that if an enemy missile is launched in Indian direction, it will quickly emit powerful pulses of Relativistic Electrons Beams (REB) and destroy the target in no time. Unlike laser beams, it does not bore a hole in the target but thoroughly damages the on-board electronic systems.

Scientists say that it can potentially be used as a beam weapon. Bursts of microwaves packed with gigawatts of power (one gigawatt is 1000 million watts) produced by this machine, when aimed at enemy missiles and aircrafts will cripple their electronic system and computer chips and bring them down right away. According to scientists the KALI is far deadlier than so-called laser weapons that destroy by drilling holes since this process consumes time. Its efficiency has pushed our scientists to look forward to inventing a high-power microwave gun to destroy incoming aircrafts and missiles, based on the same method.

In order to understand this technology in a comprehensive way, we at DefenceNews.in will take you back over two thousand years, when Archimedes, an ancient Greek scientist, burned down Roman ships by bending sunrays towards the ships and successfully defended the city of Syracuse. In comprehensible words, the old man directed the incoming energy from the Sun to Greek ships. As a result, it quickly heated up the ships and reduced them to ashes. In 1985 Dr. R Chidambaram, the then director of the BARK, came up with the idea of developing weapons on the same concept and four years later he began working on it. The project was about to complete in 2004, however it was delayed owing to some obstacles lying in its way.

The USA attempted to develop the same technology for its defence as well but could not succeed. India, on the other hand, is believed to have conducted a successful test of the first phase of the KALI in 2012. Pakistani news channels blame India for the Siachen Glacier avalanche of 2012 when reportedly 135 Pakistani soldiers were buried alive and many injured. They say that Indian scientists emitted high energetic beams of electronic rays which melted some ice-sheets of Siachen glacier and artificially created this catastrophe using 'KALI' technology.

The long and the short of the story is that India is about to step in the epoch of a new technology where no country can pose missile threat or nuclear threat to the country. As India's GDP is growing significantly, our scientists are achieving new heights every now and then without any foreign assistance.

Be it space research or other scientific developments, We are frequently becoming a self-dependent nation. So far, a lot we have achieved, but there is a long journey to be covered yet.

At that time I remember discussions in 2012, Pakistan doesn't mention anything about India. We know Siachen Glacier avalanche was some incidents from harsh snow in weather.

Please stop fake drama to make up story.

Well thats too much bragging. India did what USA couldnt, are you kidding ?

To operationalize this weapon we need power from a nuclear reactor ?

Well went to mars in our first attempt at low cost ... ?

Any power source will do ! Not necessarily to have nuclear plant just to fire kali .

The problem with this kind of system is the effective range.

Its not a new concept, since the US proposed it in their SDI (star wars) concept.

But it will cost a lot of money, since you need space based systems to hit the incoming missiles effectively and efficiently before their speed becomes their greatest protection.

Ground bases systems would have phenomenal peak power requirements and you introduce many problems with decoys and MIRVs as well.

However if there is some breakthrough by India beyond all of this, that is good news indeed.

But I have been hearing about this KALI system for many years now....maybe they will keep it shrouded in secrecy so as to not create some kind of big arms race....but still have the capability should a conflict flare up with a nuclear neighbour.

Yes, if there was such a technology USA would have invested billions and got it to work. Dont think they will simply walk away like that.

The concept that having such a system equalling world dominance is something that needs a different mindset from the Indian one.

Maybe this is something Pakistan would do given the same opportunity...but India is not Pakistan....I mean why didn't we hold onto Bangladesh after all?

This is purely a defensive "shield" weapon concept along with the BMD being put into place right now....to mitigate Pakistani nuclear blackmail whenever its terrorism is directed towards or spills over into India. If Pakistan wants to engage in an arms race in response to these "concepts"...then they are free to do so as well. Just be prepared to face the economic cost.

I doubt India will ever announce the deployment of such a weapon, it will be in the grey area until a war happens...then I guess we will see. Till then focus on countering the BMD for now.

An utter bullshit. indians need some fake stories to boost their self-confidence after getting hard beating every by Pakistan. The consecutive defeats on every front requires them to go really over the top and make tall claims "even USA tried but failed". The moment a Pakistani missile launched towards india, their kali will turn into peeli just on their behinds as it happened when they caught an innocent kabootar.

Americans will never accept these openly . They will save it for the best day to unleash . They have even bigger Haarp technology to alter ionosphere too .

What a bunch of crap ,it's a good development but writer seems to write comics stories it seems.

Sounds legit. Soon India is going to take over the world.
