The journalist community on Monday lauded the Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa government decision to announce judicial commission into the thrashing of journalists by doctors at the Khyber Teaching Hospital while the series of protest by journalists continued to register anger at the highhandedness of the doctors.
The journalists under the aegis of Khyber Union of Journalists and Peshawar Press Club staged protest to condemn torturing of reporters by doctors a couple of days ago. Peshawar Press Club President Nasir Hussain, General Secretary Yousaf Ali, Khyber Union of Journalists President Arshad Aziz Malik, General Secretary Ali Hazrat Bacha and others led the demonstration.
The speakers on the occasion expressed satisfaction at the fact that provincial government had accepted all the demands of the journalists. They declared that boycott of coverage of doctors by the print and electronic media would continue.
