Invictus - Imran khan, a Missed opportunity ?

For those of whom who have watched the Movie, Invictus, in 1995, Nelson Mandela, used a rugby World Cup to bring together his country and solidified relations with his political enemies and aligned them with him.

He was a rugby player in college I think, where as imran khan is a cricketer since we have known him.

Is cricket World Cup a lost opportunity for imran khan to fortify Pakistan from with in and on an international level.

To give hope?
To bring Pakistanis together ?
To solidify a war ravaged Pakistan ?
To create a positive image of Pakistan by aligning all countries towards Pakistan ?

A longtime ago---one of my General manager's mentioned---in this business---'you have to be honest---but if you do not have a bit of LARCENY in you---'you won't succeed'---.

His timing of doing things is very poor---. He gives time to infection to fester and grow---and he is very weak in enforcing rule of law & order---.

Pakistan may yet survive---but the turmoil it is going thru---it is needless---it could be controlled with better judgement---.

There is no comparison Nelson Mandela managed to lead his nation to glory after spending 27 years in prison and he fought apartheid. Whereas, imran khan failed to find 3 good guys to become ministers in his cabinet and become his counsel in his 22 years of political career.
As it happened in Chernobyl scientist wanted to achieve more productivity and do safety tests by ignoring all warnings and safety parameters, what happened next? one of the biggest disaster on planet earth. Our Chernobyl is imran khan, high expectations, tested and installed by Pindi boys by ignoring all warnings especially economic and it exploded. Though, chances are less but least we can expect from IK is to give us back old Pakistan.

100%... Pakistan is suffering from a lot of wrong decision made by the state. But still I hope we learn from our past mistakes and become pro-active instead of waiting for the calamity / catastrophe to happen first. Like PTM could have been eliminated just in the beginning.
