Integrating GUN In Rockets!!

Can anybody tell me how are we going to defeat a large quantity of Migs & Su-30s by our limited F-16 & or JF-17. The point of hope is using artillery fire!!.
I believe that the altitude of Indian planes is b/w 10-12km so if we can integrate a mini gun at the rocket tip & via propulsion make it upto an equivalent altitude at say 4-mach speed or so there is a good probability that we can damage their planes or atleast can disrupt their defence lineup. I t seems quiet an illusionist idea but I really want your opinion on this!! provided that germans in 1940s have made an A4 rocket with a sped of 5-mach

We should work on acquiring high altitude SAM air coverage across the country, no less than 15 batteries.

Oh gee----you have asked a million dollar question----that is what all of us on this board have been arguing about for the last so many years. Some talk about the man behind the machine---others have talked about the one who has better technology ,would have the upper hand. The second argument weighs more heavily in favour of the argument by default.

The answer to your second part----it is not neccessary to re-invent the wheel----the systems are available----they are called the high altitude missile defence systmes. We just need to buy the system that meets our needs and requirements.

We should get the latest version of S-300 SAM systems from Ukraine (indirectly from Russia) or even S-400 if possible.

Not sure how integrating a mini gun in a rocket would work?
Do u mean launching a rocket with a mini gun inside, then firing at high altitude when close to the jet? If that's the plan i cant see that working at all.

has anyone considered the slightly cheaper option??....UAV's??....alot of UAV's mounted on launchers......cud be launched like missiles..guided by radars to their target......and a single one cud take out multiple targets if its armed with appropriate air to air missiles......its a plausible idea.....and one wich wud work...

well sir UAVs can't bear the pressure gradients at so much altitude & do remember that we dont have attacking UAVs just we have reconnaissance planes of low altitudes

bt cant we develop ucav's??.....the pressure gradients is nt the major issue.......tht cn be solvd.....

well perhaps a common platform to launch many UAVs seems quiet a tough idea but the real thing is that more the UAVs weight owing to their warheads & payloads more difficult it is to achieve 'airborne launching pad'!!

i wasnt talking abt launching ucav's frm airborne carriers.......i meant launching thm frm the ground using either mobile or fixd positions....kinda like anti air positions along the border....
