Obviously, this will help improve the health of the nation by reducing consumption of ghee and oil, and help lower cholesterol levels. All good.

Pakistan ranks even higher than India in per capita edible oil consumption. Pakistan mein tu jab tak chese oil mein float na kar rae ho khanay ka maza hi nae aata 🤣🤣. Just now i was helping my wife cook and in the end it was like half salan and half oil.

Yes our high import bills are direct result of bad eating habbits. I have seen people yell at resturant owners for dish being too dry and not enough oil. In Pakistan doesnt matter if person is poor but he/she will still eat like saand and in excess. People will rather eat oil than to ever eat boiled vegtable. One of my cousins used to sip of raw Ghee 🤦‍♂️.

Add sugar and tea to oil on the list, and there is a complete trifecta of bad dietary ingredients in various forms. Higher prices are needed to curb consumption and improve public health.
Is there any other way to cook?

Yes there is. Look at how sparingly Chinese cooking uses oil, for example.

ahh yes sugar how can we forget half cup tea and half cup sugar diet of Pakistanis. Half the country is suffering from diabetes and heart problems bcz of this triad of garbage we consume in excess.

yes we can put two tea spoon oil where we put 20. No one is saying to give up oil but we can certainly reduce it by miles. Tragedy is that even after we eat our plates still have so much oul that we throw it away.

I suggest you don't put too much oil in your food, or the Americans will declare war on your food.

🤣 Quality if Oil we have in Pakistan it will just choke their engiene. Pakistanis took 7 decade for getting used to eating this garbage and not dying. Any person who comes in eat Pakistan goes through a certain right of passage. That passage take him/her to toilet for at least a weak before they adpt.

I agree that current level of Inflation is high, but Title is wrong

Highest inflation in Pakistan was in Bhutto time from 1975-1978
2nd highest inflation was reported during Zardari PPP time 2009-2011
