New Delhi: The mighty Indian Military which is the third largest in the world has achieved another feat as it has been termed as the fifth on account of lethality in the world by a report published in a Credit Suisse report on globalization. Take a look at the rankings below ::

The first spot was obviously taken over by the US Army, thanks to its stockpile of 13,900 aircrafts, 920 attack helicopters, 20 aircraft carriers and 72 submarines. Then comes the Russian Army followed by Chinese, Japanese, and finally, the Indian Army, amongst the top 5 in the world.

The report also mentions that Russian and American warfare collectively account for a baffling 90 percent of the total nuclear warfare in the world. While we are still ages away from becoming as strong as the US or the Russian Army, it’s nonetheless a proud moment for all of us!

Clearly we lagging behind in Attack helicopters and in submarines.

Final figures are good for ranking purpose but does not reflact the relative strength. e.g india has 0.69 points vs US's 0.94 this does not mean at all that US is only 1 and half time powerful.

I think we are strogenst than Japan in air and ground but weak in water. So we should be ranked 4th.

I think most of indian tanks dont even have thermal sights except t90's. Pakistans most of tanks except type 59 are upgraded with thermal sights. Yes t72 ajeya of IA is being upgraded but till they are the rank should be lower. IMHO.Israel and Taiwan have better equipped airforce then Pakistan Airforce. Israels army is better than previous 5 rankings before it. I think israel should be at 6 and pak shud be at 11 as it is. taiwan should be at 12 egypt at 14 because its airforce does not have bvrs yet IMHO. India apart from naval shud be better than japan overall so 4

Actually this kind of ranking is quite worthless.Take China and India in first five .Both of these cant compete others in the field of quality weapons.Japan has enormous influence and technology but lacks size which is a factor in current world.
Subs of India and China is years old .And we need at least two decade to modernize our Navy with 30 + most advanced subs.

I think there is always US and others when it comes to military ranking .Only nation that can came nearer to them is Russian Federation.Russias weakness is their population size .
