India's leading manufacturer of power insulator castings Indsur Global Ltd will supply $10 million worth of its products to Russia.
As the management company informed TASS today, the contract with the Russian Global Insulator Group has been signed during the recent visit of its representatives to Mumbai.
According to the director of Indsur Global Amit Lodha, the contract for the supply of insulator castings will be fulfilled within one and a half years, starting April 2015. The fact he mentioned as important was that «GIG who was originally looking for a supplier in China, has chosen an Indian one.»
As both companies believe, this cooperation may further be not merely continued, but also greatly expanded.
Global Insulator Group, GIG, is a supplier of glass and porcelain insulators, line fittings for overhead transmission line and switching stations and substations. The group was established in April 2006 as a management company of two manufacturers - JSC Yuzhnouralsky Insulators and Fittings Plant and LLC Lviv Insulator Company.
The factories' products are used in power plants, railway companies, oil and gas industry in Russia and CIS countries, the energy systems of 39 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Africa. The total volume of insulators produced since the JSC Yuzhnouralsky Insulators and Fittings Plant and LLC Lviv Insulator Company started work is over 300 million units.
