Why don't all your dignitaries and politicians wear these two colours on national days!

We tend not to tell people what to wear , there is no official communique on garments to be worn for official engagements.

I think the Governor sahib was wearing this attire to please the common Kashmiri, as he too often bumps upon these two colours in Srinagar.
