ISLAMABAD: The Senate of Pakistan on Tuesday was informed about the ongoing operation Zabr-e-Azb, as well as the different gains and losses maid fending off attacks on the motherland. The written reply was presented by the Defence Ministry.

The Senate session was presided over by the Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani where the house was told, 359 Army personnel of different ranks embraced martyrdom fighting terrorists during the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb.

In 2013, India violated the ceasefire along the working boundary and the line of control (LoC) 464 times in which 10 army personnel and 6 citizens were martyred while 24 soldiers and 89 citizens were injured in these attacks.

The Senate was informed that on the 6th of January 2013 one solider embraced martyrdom while one sustained injuries when Indian forces tried to attack a Pakistan Army post in Bagh sector, their attempt was foiled.

In 2014, India violated the ceasefire agreement 315 times along the working boundary and the LoC in which 2 soldiers and 18 citizens were martyred while 24 soldiers and 74 citizens were injured.

In 2015, India violated the ceasefire along the LoC and working boundary 218 times in which 33 citizens and one solider embraced martyrdom while 129 citizens and 16 soldiers were injured.

The Senate was told that 89 percent of Wazirstan and 87 percent of Khyber Agency has been cleared of miscreants.

The difference is that even when an Indian soldier commits suicide on the border, your lot cover it up by blaming it on Pakistani sniper fire.

Pakistan has no reason to "violate border ceasefire" we are already engaged in a full-scale operation in FATA; where all of our military resources are being spent, the military does not want to attract unwanted attention. Border Skirmishes is apart of India's cold start doctrine. India is taking advantage of Zarb e Azb and is trying to divert the Army's focus on eradicating terrorism by doing these sudden border attacks. After all they dont want their investments in TTP and BLA to be wasted. If you look at casualty reports, India focuses on civilian targets while Pakistan focuses on Military targets. I've lived in Sialkot, i know A-Z what happens on the border. Pakistan Rangers dont have Mortars or Heavy weaponry and have to request it by the Army which are situated close by in Cantonments. India would begin violations by pounding the Pakistani Side, Pakistan would retaliate the next day.

You had lost control on your non state actors long time back. That is considering PA had nothing to do with this.

Otherwise Pakistan is the only country openly threatening another with nukes, save North Korea. So opening a new front against arch rival India NOW is not a very improbable thing to do in comparison.

When Indians start ranting about "Gus kay maray ge" and compare Mynamar to Pakistan then of-course we'll bring up Nukes to crash Indian dreams so we can focus on more important things and not be annoyed by Indians. You guys make a drama out of every thing, from Pakistan banning bollywood movies to "capturing Pakistani spy pigeons". I beg you to stop this obsession and just move on.

Acc to most pak members here your side of Kahmir has no separatists but Indian Kashmir is filled with them , so don't you think its only logical that India would want a stable LOC so that you guys won't get another reason to highlight this issue every now and then ?

Sir, constant ceasefire violations isnt going to stabilize the LoC.

Yes, it won't and thats why its not in india's interest to have constant ceasefire violations as animity between us is because kashmir issue and not because we just want pakistan to bleed .

P.S I'm not blaming any side of violating ceasefire as on a hot border many incidents can lead to those violations and its obvious no side would gonna act like a gentlemen and take the responsibility .

what has been done by Indians recently on Slk border is quite shameful as they have used heavy mortars to destroy the houses of general public and killing more than 10 civilians. The rules of engagement have been changed since BJP came into power. The Indians may give excuse abt border skirmishes by blaming Pak rangers butt what abt two Dalit children killed by upper cast Hindus in India along with killings of Muslims and Christians.

It will bring no good to India even the country will become more weaker by this brutality. If one has any doubts you may see Dalit children dead bodies on Reuters along with their poor father crying. To me those Dalits are smae like children dying in Syria or Palestine. As humans we should at least stop massacre of general public especially women and children.
