Iran will take part in the 10th Pakistan Oil, Gas and Energy Exhibition and Conference (POGEE 2012) which will be held next week in the port city of Karachi.
Almost 200 companies from about 30 countries are expected to take part in the annual event which will be held on May 8-10, 2012, Fars News Agency reported.
The exhibition aims to showcase the latest equipment and machinery related to oil, gas and energy industries and provide key players with a definite outlook of the regional oil and gas sector.
It is also meant to pave the way for key energy decision-makers and government officials to discuss areas of mutual cooperation and entering global business partnerships.
China, Germany, Iran, India, Italy, Pakistan, Qatar, Singapore, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the US are the main countries to display their technological advances in energy industry in the exhibition.
This years energy conference, which will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition, will focus on finding sustainable energy solutions available through cross-border energy trade to address future needs.
Participating speakers, including Iranian energy experts, will address the challenges and opportunities ahead of the energy industry with special emphasis on gas and energy imports through transnational gas pipelines and power grids.
The conference will also feature discussion forums and interactive Q&A sessions where participants will be able to talk to high-level energy industry professionals from across the region.
