We all human beings like tradtions, and armed forces like their traditions the most. The Indian army continues their names according to tribes for old regiments, plays same regimental music etc.
Some of the traditions of British Army regiments. They beat every other army in this I think.
1. One regiment does not stand when national anthem is played,rather sits and keeps talking
2. Another toasts to king of Sweden
3. A regiment that has a Goat as lance corporal
4. A regiment that plays specific music twice a week for over hundred years as a penance for raping nuns.
