What do you imply by ‘ large numbers ‘ & smaller military ?

Here are some figures

India
Army: 11 Infantry Regiments, 14 Cavalry Regiments, 18 Artillery Regiments and 61 Engineering Units with support from Signal Corps.

Royal Indian Air Force: 6 Fighter Squadrons and half Squadron of Dakota Transport Aircraft.

Pakistan:

Army: 8 Infantry Regiments, 7 Cavalry Regiments and 9 Artillery Regiments.

PAF: 2 Fighter Squadron and Half Squadron of Dakota Transport Aircraft.

My grand dad was a doctor in British Military and fought in Burma against the Japanese. He was a POW , captured by the Japanese. But soon after his capture the Americans dropped Nukes on Japan and the war ended.
He was given large sums of money by the British due to his services and did not need to work the rest of his life.

At time of partition what is today Pakistan had population of about 37 million and India was about 330 million. That would mean Pakistan should have got about 1/10 of the British Raj Army.

Guess what? It got nearly 1/3. Now do your maths. Pakistan got disproportionaly far bigger chunk of the British Raj era army.

Any more stories of the good old days?

By the way where did the British deposit all that money? In your grandfather's bank account?

40% of the Raj's army came from what is called Pakistan.

Pakistan got a better deal during independence.
It’s another matter that they failed to hold on to it.

Because you guys were employed in even larger numbers into the British military.

We may have had a higher representation in terms of percentage, but there were still more of you than there were of us.

Pakistan got a better deal during independence.

Asalamu Alaikum

Yeah mine also fought against the Axis in WW2, as part of the African campaign.

He made it back without getting wounded, killed or captured though, which makes him pretty lucky since units from the British Raj suffered pretty high casualties as compared to units from other army's AFAIK.

Only moronic Indians think that inheriting a colony is somehow "good". Just proves how retarded most Indians are. The sheer fact you people think British India was actually a "lawful" entity is what really makes me LOL.

Slave colonial mentality alive and well in India.
