If Nasa had US military's budget Star trek would be a documentary by now but unfortunately we humans are too busy creating the means to destroy our own race .

Star Trek isn't possible, but yes, if NASA got more funding, it could certainly do much more.

In my opinion, humans should have a globally unified space agency rather than individual ones for each country/private organisation. This will make things much more effective as we would be pursuing a common goal, rather than competing with one another. It would also mean funding could be more spread out, and this organisation would have a way better resource pool and more financial resources than NASA on it's own would.

However, one must consider, why are we looking to the stars when we still have much to do on Earth?

I agree, and there is the UNOOSA ( United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs ) existent to possibly take care of unified human thrusts for space exploration.

The UNO generally has not being successful in uniting the countries but maybe the UNOOSA can.

Space is for all humans to explore and settle.

Also, the Mars One project was quite ambitious. Sad that the organisation behind it has gone bankrupt.

Though of course there is SpaceX.

Plus SpaceX is a private company so it doesn’t have to answer to any stock pressures or budget cuts.

The BFR will lead us to this

People used to think flying was impossible it's all a state of mind

It looks like resolute from lost in space

You cannot travel FTL, that's physically impossible.

That's what you think now, but who knows.

You cannot travel FTL, that's physically impossible.

Captain Montgomery Scott says otherwise

That's what you think now, but who knows.

No, it's literally against the laws of physics. A solid object cannot travel FTL and remain intact.

Such laws were created by humans it's not some divine ideas that came down from the sky. In the coming decades many of these laws are going to change

The laws of physics don't just "change", but our understanding of them can and does. They were not made by humans, the Universe abides by these laws.

From what we understand. Why do people forget the fact that science and everything with it is simply a theory nothing is concrete. Get that through your head too
