do u think engine from a motorbike say honda 125 can power a very small one manned airplane/glider sort of?or you think the engine is too heavy....i think a 125 engine weights around 50 to 60 kg's:agree:

Impossible. Wouldn give it sufficient rpm and force for takeoff. Might work for a glider though.

.

500 cc honda engine.

350 cc Yamaha Engine.

something like this...maybe taking the entire frame of a motorbike and incorporating wings and tail over it......if a propellor can be attached connected with the back wheel so that back wheel turns as well as the propellor then it might work.....125cc can hit 120,130km and with large wings it might generate lift considering the propeller would be turning at the same time too:agree:

there was this show where there were 3 teams who had to build airplanes from junk....but they were provided professional engines:agree:

Yes, it can be done, but with difficulty.

We have built man-powered airplanes, but even a trained athlete cannot output greater than 700 watts continuously, which is about 1 hp. So even a model airplane engine could (in theory) power one. But the craft would be exotic, with carbon fiber and kevalr and other ultra-light materials. It'd look like a glider, huge lift vs. drag.

A more practical powerplant for an experimental would be an engine in the 10 to 25 hp range. You'll need fewer hi-tech materials.
