Ps ur right CNN is showing it

Definitly done by the ISI, its a case of 'one arrow and two preys.'

ISLAMABAD, July 17 (Agencies) - At least 12 people were killed and scores injured when a suicide bomber struck the reception camp of the PPP of Benazir Bhutto some 100 meters from the stage set up in Islamabad for a rally by the country's suspended chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Tuesday, officials and witnesses said. Police officer Kamal Khan said there was a “very big explosion” as hundreds of people gathered ahead of a speech by CJ Iftikhar who was on way from his official residence to the venue of his address at the district bar association meeting . Private tv channels reported that the motorcade of CJ Iftkhar changed its route after the bomb explosion and was now heading towards the supreme court building. These reports also said that at least 12 bodies had been shifted to hospitals while ambulances were shifting the estimated 50 injured to various hospitals in Islamabad. LATEST: CJ Iftikhar's motorcade reached the venue of the meeting late Tuesday night but he and the leaders of the lawyers community left without the scheduled speeches after expressing grief and sorrow at the loss of the human lives in the suicide bombing. media report, a respond to PPP for supporting Lalmasjid action.
Means next is MQM, should avoid any massive rally or any type of rally.

You believe all these. After the Lal Masjid Pakistan has braced itself up for such attacks. And when all the security measure at its peak and especially when ISI is there you expect this to happen right inside Islamabad. No way.

You are correct. With all those security measures in place, how on earth could a bomber get in. Wait a second! Didnt a suicide bomber get into the Green Zone in Baghdad and then into the cafeteria of the Iraqi legislators? That too with the most advanced military in the world guarding the place? Aha !! I knew it. The Americans are deliberately trying to lose in Iraq and blowing up their allies and soldiers. Those devious Amreki:devil:
Musharraf is obviously taking a page out of the American book....

Americans they are nobody in front of terrorists. But ISI they are their masters, how can they blow up their own masters' capital. No way.

I'll repost some comments that I posted in the Lal Masjid thread, but are more appropriate here:

Of course we need to immediately set up a "negotiating team" and find out what these "becharay maulvi", who are only fighting against "immorality" and for the "enforcement of Shariah" need. There are no words that can express the rage I am feeling right now.

Of course the usual suspects will ignore the repeated statements of the Lal Masjid Bradran threatening to send out "thousands of suicide bombers", the repeated statements of the "Tribal Taliban" to do the same, the repeated statements of Mullah Fazlullah in SWAT to initiate suicide bombings and attacks on troops, and fantastically spin their conspiracy theories and "Mullah apologetics" to blame the government; without any evidence of course.

It clearly looks an attack against workers of People's Party in revenge for Benazir's support for operation against Lal Masjid. As most of the students lost their life were from the tribal areas and the tribes never leave a chance to revenge.
Latest intelligence reports say that 6 suicide bombers have entered Islamabad and the capital is on high alert.
Still there is time for Musharraf to think again and again and stop from massing military forces in tribal areas on the orders of US and try to solve this non issue whom he himself has made an enormous issue despite the warnings from people really loving Pakistan to solve the Lal Masjid issue peacefully. As even the foresight of a general Pakistani or muslim was telling that this matter can take Pakistan towards internal bloodshed and anarchy and it will only benifit US, West, India and Israel as Pakistan has the potential to develop into a powerful nation militarily and economically.
In the words of Rtd Army Chief Mirza Aslam Beg,These tribes are those people who supported Kashmiris in 1948 war, Afghans against Soviet forces and even British can not controlled them and they are not ready to bow against US or any so called super powers or the forces supporting these powers. This message from a Retd Army Chief himself (On Geo News) yesterday is showing the intensity of the situation building up rapidly.

I believe you are correct in analyzing the possible motivations of the bombers. But as always, there are the accompanying apologetics for the extremists and Mullahs. The Lal Masjid issue has been discussed to death. The people inside were given opportunities to surrender and they refused to. They killed an SSG officer who was only blowing up the boundary wall, not leading an assault. No one has presented any logical alternative to the operation when the people involved were seeking amnesty even though tthey had masterminded illegal activities.

The tribes who think that this sort of "revenge" is honorable can stick their "honor" where the sun don't shine. Their actions indicate that they are nothing but bayghaerat, buzdil and *****. Enough is enough. If the tribes do not want to become civilized and live under Pakistani law, I say take a page out of the Israeli handbook and build a wall to seperate them from Pakistan. Cut off their free gas and electricity and then see how long they survive with their "honor". Enough is enough.

This is not the solution of the problem. Come face the reality unfolding there. Be honest to solve it peacefully. Time still there otherwise if the govt takes any wrong step any more it will be fatal. Musharraf's honour is nothing in front of stability in Pakistan, its Islamic character and its unity and integrity.

What is the solution of the problem? You do realize that the "Tribal Taliban" will only be satisfied if they are allowed complete freedom to do two things:

1. Freedom to carry out their twisted "Jihad" against the "Infidels" in Afghanistan.

2. Freedom to impose their own version of Islam ala Afghani Taliban in Pakistan.

How can any government accede to those demands? Explain that to me please. What do you think the repercussions would be if the government did accede?

Time ran out a long time ago. The two alternatives are to face the bloodshed that will ensue, but wipe off this blot of extremism from the face of the earth, or face the bloodshed that will ensue as the extremists are allowed to create another Talibanistic regime in Pakistan.

It's a lose lose the way I see it. But its more honorable to die fighting for the rule of law, freedom and equality instead of bowing our heads in front of the monster of extremism, intolerance, bigotry and backwardness that these Mullah's would have us adopt under the guise of "Shariat".

The only "sane" or "middle of the road" option that existed was the one Musharraf did try; the agreements with the taliban in Waziristan, the free reign given to the more extreme practitioners of Islam. Do you remember what ever happened to the thugs from the MMA who were arrested after they assaulted women and children and prevented them from running in the mixed marathon? They were all let go I believe. We have been living this lie for a long time. Hoping against hope that somehow it would be possible to coexist with these extremists. It isn't. They will not tolerate anything but their obscurantist, bigoted system.

These people criticize Musharraf, and the moderates, for being "anti-Islam". What has he done or advocated that is so "anti-Islam"? Has he stopped people from praying? has he stopped people from growing beards? Has he stopped women from wearing headscarf's or veils? Has he banned the Quran? Has he prevented people from not educating their daughters? No. The Mullahs on the other hand, don't give a hoot about the desires of those pakistanis (also in the millions) who would rather not grow a beard; who would rather not wear a headscarf; who would rather not pray.

The side that claims to represents "Islam" right now, is advocating an ideology not very different from fascism. And while moderates will tolerate an equitable "Islamic Pakistan", we will not tolerate a "Islamofascist Pakistan" (There now, you have made me use a phrase from the Western Media that I detest)

You know what, if the Taliban were not so "anti-image" or "anti-idol", I bet we would have seen something similar to the "running of the Jew" scene that Borat used to caricature the antisemitism in some societies.
