So here are some tips for you along with the list of the articles you need..
- A DSLR or an advanced compact camera with full manual controls
- A zoom lens with wide angle of at least 18 mm. avoid prime lens since you are not sure about the exact area of the coverage
- A tripod
- A shutter release remote wired or wireless
- Mount the camera on tripod and point in the general direction of the fireworks
- Set the lens at its widest angle i.e. lowest focal length
- Adjust the focus setting to manual focus and then dial it all the way to infinity and then return turn it back slightly just before infinity
- Dial F value of 9 or 10 i.e. very narrow aperture opening
- Set the ISO to 100 or below
- If your camera has bulb mode, set it to the bulb mode
- Connect the shutter release
- If it is too windy @Windjammer then hang some weight from the hook of the tripod
- and if you get distracted from the explosions, then use ear-cups or headphone with noise cancellation
- Shoot in raw
so enjoy shooting and happy new year !!
