In an event of any nuclear treat, use following actions to save yourself.

1. Create an underground shelter which need to be 10 feet down in the ground.
2. Inside the shelter, you'd need at least 5 layers of bricks and cement to save yourself from radiation. You can also use a single layer cement blocks used in the construction of tall buildings.
3. Store food and water which is sufficient to survive 2 to 3 weeks, use fruit, vegetable and beans with no traces of meat in it.
4. Learn to save yourself from the 3 layered of destruction, this include blast, the winds and radiation storm.

May humanity would never see this in reality.. that would be devastating not just for humans but for every form of life. In case it is unavoidable, here are few ways which will help you survive.
