It’s summer, which means it’s finally the season of the King of Fruits – mangoes! With a history as rich as its flavour (yes, it was indeed the favourite fruit of many rulers in India), mangoes make for one of the most popular fruits across the world.

In addition to being absolutely delectable, pulpy and lush, mangoes also boast a ton of health benefits too – as if we needed any more reasons to love this fruit! As compiled by NDTV Food, here are five health benefits that you can reap by gorging on this yummy fruit of the season.

1) No digestion dilemmas

Mangoes are amazing at promoting healthy digestion! According to the book Healing Foods, they contain enzymes that aid the breakdown and digestion of protein, and also fibre, which keeps the digestive tract working at its maximum potential. Dietary fibre also helps in lowering the risk of heart disease and even type 2 diabetes.

2) Immunity booster

Yes, mangoes are also a super food when it comes to amping up your immunity. An average sized mango contains up to two-third of the daily recommended intake of vitamin C! Vitamin C is, ofcourse, a powerful antioxidant that helps in boosting your immunity system and prevents cold/flu.

3) Cholesterol? Be gone!

kairi-1590066744-e1590066766793.jpg

Mangoes can also aid in lowering your cholesterol levels. The high levels of fibre pectin may help bring down the low-density lipoprotein (LDL or bad cholesterol) which causes plaques in the vessels and blocks blood flow. One tip: green, raw mangoes (kairi) contain more fibre pectin than ripe mangoes, so get munching!

4) Skin saver

Mangoes are chock-full of skin-friendly vitamin C and vitamin A, both of which are crucial for healthy skin and skin repair. When eaten in moderation, mangoes can also help to exfoliate and eliminate dead pores. According to Macrobiotic nutritionist and Health Practitioner Shilpa Arora ND, “Mangoes are loaded with skin healing nutrients; for example, fibre in mangoes cleanses your gut that is overloaded with toxic substances.”

5) Fit for weight-watchers

If you’re one to watch your calories, there’s a good news. When eaten in moderation, mangoes could also help in weight loss. The phytochemicals in mango skin act as natural fat busters. Not to mention, the flesh is filled with dietary fibres that can make you feel full for a longer time, which prevents you from tucking in other high fattening snacks.

Pakistan plans to export 100,000 tons of mango to China this fiscal year
The Chinese m

arkets are open to Pakistan’s agricultural products, especially good quality fruits, as China had either suspended or reduced agricultural products from some countries.

In the past, China imported a large number of fruits from India and Australia. Due to the recent outbreak of a virus in India, China had suspended the import of fruits from India for the time being, Cheng Xizhong. Experts say that due to the high price of Australian fruits and some other reasons, China may also reduce the import of fruits from Australia.

At the same time, Pakistani mango, citrus and kinnow have successively obtained market access in China . As a result, Pakistan has got an opportunity to significantly increase its fruits export to China .

According to an article on en.dailypakistan.com.pk¸ China’s export to Pakistan accounts for less than 1% of China’s total export, while China’s import from Pakistan only accounts for about 0.01% of China’s total import.

But considering the relationship between China and Pakistan and China’s wish to help Pakistan strengthen its financial position, China is trying to import as much from Pakistan as possible. As long as Pakistan’s agricultural products, especially fruits, are of good quality, the Chinese markets are fully open to Pakistan .

Pakistan exported more than 600 million US dollars of sugar to China last fiscal year. To boost its sugar export to China in an effort to compete with Pakistan , India has approved a 62.7-billion-rupee subsidy plan this year. In addition, Pakistan plans to export 100,000 tons of mango to China this fiscal year, while Vietnam’s fruit export to China from January to July this year had dropped by 68%.

People in South Asia love sweet food, which has become their traditional culture. People in southern China also like sweet food. Although China is one of the largest sugar producing countries, due to its large population, it is a major importer at the same time. In 2018, China imported 2.8 million tons and exported 200,000 tons.

Chinese people like to eat fruit, The money spent on fruit every day is almost the same as that spent on food.China imported 9.5 billion dollars worth of fruit last year.
Mango is also one of them,Although China is the world's second largest mango producer, it is still the world's major mango importer.Mangoes are mainly imported from Southeast Asia,Also imported from Australia, India and Pakistan.
But Pakistan and Southeast Asia are exempt under the trade agreement, and other countries have a 15% import tax.

I live in a city in northern China that doesn't produce mangoes.Mangoes are imported from the south China or abroad, and the price is generally around $1 per 500g.
The more common ones are mango from southern China, mango from Taiwan and mango from Vietnam.Vietnam exports 84% of its mangoes to China.
I have never eaten mango sauce, and Chinese people seldom eat sweet sauce.I prefer salty sauces.
However, there should be more and more fruit imported from China. Recently, we often see imported juice in supermarkets, many of which come from Europe, and many of which are written with the origin of Cyprus.
