Man, this sucks! Whenever I want to open certain programs or install an application from my drive, I get this message and the computer hangs. I cant even open 'device manager' from the Control panel. So then I have to do a CTRL ALT DEL after which I get this message before rebooting or logging off:
"TOO MANY OTHER FILES ARE CURRENTLY IN USE BY 16-BIT PROGRAMS. QUIT ONE OR MORE 16-BIT PROGRAMS OR INCREASE THE VALUE OF THE FILES COMMAND IN YOUR CONFIG"
How do I get rid of this problem? What are these 16 bit programs that are screwing my happiness? I thought Windows 7 (32 bit) doesn't run 16 bit programs?
Secondly, how can I find these 16 bit programs on my computer which I can then delete?
A beer for those computer geeks who can sort out this nightmare!
Thanks!
