We need to clear misconceptions In South Lord Ganesh is a Brahmacharya and he is the one who gets the divine fruit after winning the competition. Lord Murugan has 2 wives according to tradition in the south and his place is very very important in Sangam literature.

In North, Lord Kartikeya is made Brahmachari while Lord Vinayagar is having 2 wives and Kartikeya gets divine fruit on advice from Lord Brahmma
