LCA can and will fire Indian Astra BVR , Russian R73/R27 missles and the Derby Or Israeli Python 5 wvr missle.

Gipen ng uses european weapons will use Meteore and can also use American weapons.

to be honest all the contenders are bending backwards for the mmrca. They believe the indian order could exceed 126 fighters eventually. In the long run the deal could be worth $20 billion easily. They are doing their best even the americans want a slice of the indian market.
