Despite being sacked as Pakistan coach, Geoff Lawson still has a soft spot for the team. He tells Jesse Hogan about his unique experiences there.
''With the majority of people you deal with it [Islam] is a religion and culture of hospitality, friendliness and looking after strangers,'' he said. ''They certainly did that to me. It's just their nature, they're a friendly people. As a people as a whole, I've never met any more hospitable or friendly people. The players are just good blokes
And despite the many negatives that flowed from Lawson's time in Pakistan - regular bombings within the country, his abrupt sacking and his struggle to be paid fully what he was owed - he said if he were able to coach any international team he would choose to go straight back to Pakistan
