A GREAT-grandmother will become the oldest Facebook user in the world when she creates her profile – at 106.

Lily Strugnell also plans to open a Twitter account after taking a course for pensioners on how to use the internet.

The silver surfer, who has three children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, had her first social networking lesson last month. Now she wants an iPad for her 107th birthday.

Lily, who lives in Cinderford, Glos, with her 78-year-old daughter Joy Williams, said: “There are so many things I want to do.

“Twitter sounds very interesting and I can watch Coronation Street online. I will be Facebook’s oldest user when I sign up, which I will before I turn 107 in August.”

IT teacher Margaret Goodwin, said: “Lily took to it like a duck to water.”

Facebook’s current oldest user is Lillian Lowe, 104, of Tenby, Pembrokeshire, whose user name is Supergran.

They change the gender when they wish..
Heck I find 14 year olds having Fb accounts ridiculous.. but then. I find Fb ridiculous and a waste of time.. which is why I dont use it anymore.
