Lahore: The provincial government has decided to keep computerized record of attendees of Raiwind Tableeghi congregation in the wake of the prevailing law and order situation in the country.


According to sources, biometric system will be installed at gates to keep the record of attendees. The sources said that the decision has been taken in connection with the implementation of National Action Plan.

Thumb and finger impressions of the congregation participants will be taken at all entry points.


Surveillance of incoming traffic from Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, South and North Waziristan and Quetta would be carried out through secret cameras.

Not a bad idea...

How about boosting that at NADRA and at the airport too...Seems like some Americans can bring in guns caught and freed...so not sure how effective this would be...

And NADRA selling NIC and passports isnt very helpful so who is gonna check these thumbprints and against what background coz non Pakistanis are also registered at NADRA for few dollars!
