.
No PR142/2013-ISPR Dated: September 16, 2013
Rawalpindi - September 16, 2013:

General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani (COAS) lauded the ultimate sacrifice of the SHAHEEDS and injured of the four cowardly acts of terrorism which took place in FATA Region, during last two days. During the night 14 - 15 September, terrorists attacked a Khassadars' patrolling party near Bannu. The attackers were repulsed by the patrolling party. However, encounter resulted into shahadat of one and injuries to four Khassadars. Later, during early hours of 15 September, two of the Army Posts located on Road Miranshah - Mir Ali were subjected to IED attacks by terrorists. The posts along this road are meant to keep the traffic un-interrupted and secure. One soldier of Army and one of FC KPK laid their lives for the motherland whereas two soldiers sustained injuries in these attacks.

The most heinous act of terrorism took place at 1230 hours on 15 September near village Gatkotal, Upper Dir. This too was an IED attack on the vehicle of Major General Sana Ullah Khan, General Officer Commanding 17 Division, presently operating in Swat. The General Officer alongwith Lieutenant Colonel Tauseef Ahmad and Sepoy Irfan Sattar embraced SHAHADAT in this attack. Major General Sana Ullah was visiting his troops deployed on Pak - Afghan Border. He stayed the night with troops at a 10,000 feet high border post in Bin Shahi Sector. His vehicle was targeted during move back.

COAS paid rich tributes to the exemplary courage, total commitment to duty and the demonstration of highest leadership qualities by Major General Sana Ullah Khan. The General Officer has set towering example of leading from the front which is hallmark of leadership in Pakistan Army. Acknowledging the General Officer's ultimate sacrifice for the motherland the COAS said, we all salute his bravery. He also pledged to stand with the families of SHUHADAS and injured. Pakistani Nation and Army will remain indebted to the sacrifices of their soldiers.

COAS reiterated Pakistan Army's resolve and unflinching commitment in fighting the menace of terrorism, in accordance with the will of the nation and at any cost. He vowed to spare no effort in bringing the perpetrators of these cowardly acts of terrorism to justice. While reaffirming Army's support to the political process, the COAS also said, unequivocally, that terrorists will not be allowed to take advantage of it.

He emphasized again that while it is understandable to give peace a chance through a political process but no one should have any misgivings that we would let terrorists coerce us into accepting their terms. Army has the ability and the will to take the fight to the terrorists.

As faujis naak ki seedh may sochtay hain, therefore they fail to understand that in every talks maximum conditions and demands are put forwards by both parties. You start talks on the basis of those demands , the final agreement is much different from pre-conditions.
If you are expecting immediate ceasefire, laying down of arms, surrender and them accepting your constitution and writ of state then why you even need dialogues with them if they already surrender?
Those who ask why we need to talk with killers of 40000 civilians and 10000 security forces? The answer is also on same pattren, you didnt need to have talks with taliban if they had not killed so many soldiers and civilians and were law abiding citizen....instead of getting eliminated, they have grown powerful after decade long war thats why sensible and maturd pakistanis want to solve the problem other than military action.
@nuclearpak, @Armstrong, @Hyperion, @mafiya, @balixd @Slav Defence @F.O.X @Last Hope, @Icarus, @Xeric, @TaimiKhan you think tanks agree with me?

i wrote a small piece on APC held last week, it is being edited, hope it gets publish, I have highlighted that how Political & Military leadership upheld Peace process through dialogue but they missed one thing - and that was to send a message that this decision of theirs should not be taken for granted and there should be no doubt in anyone's doubt that we are weak.
I expected such words to be part of APC or PM should have said such in his speech.
They did not identify that if Peace talks fail what will be the back plan.

One interesting thing about that day was - the Outgoing President Zardari in his last statement gave the above statement.
He said "if we take certain decision - Do Not think of it as our weakness".
No one raised any voice on this statement of Zardari, I wanted to hear this statement from PM & the APC.

Lala I never was against Talks - though i have my own way of Peace process.
talking about first para than my dear you are looking at it the wrong way. Taliban are standing against the state, they are not standing against the foreign enemy. Infact it is the other way around, they are the invading force, who want to force their way on us. It is not their fault, its the psyche, they always fought against the foreign forces, in Chechnya they fought against Soviets, in Afghanistan they fought against Soviets, than again they fought US.
Hence they are putting forward their pre-conditions against the state in this manner. It is the job of Political leadership to put them back to their place that it is them who are anti-state and we reject your pre-conditions.
It is us doing taliban a favor by giving them a chance not the other way around. But the political leadership is so pathetic and spinelss

Enforcing sharia on islamabad was priority of tehreek nifaz e shariat of swat, killing shias is priority of LEJ and LET. The waziristan based TTP might talk about sharia and all that but thats to give legitamacy to their movement and satisfy their allies. They do not have any territorial ambitions beyond FATA.
Are they invaders? No, they are your own people, you allow them to keep weapons in the first place, praised their love and valour for islam and motivated them to become jihadis to help their afghan brothers against soviets. You opened thousands of madrassas in their areas and turned FATA into training ground for mujahideen. You also send them to help taliban against northern alliance. After 9/11 you angered them on taking u-turn on afghanistan and on top of that send faujis to waziristan and at the point of gun you asked them to hand over arab settlers of afghan war era so that they can be handed over to FBI in exchange for dollars. The same arabs who were praised by you and CIA. On mere hesitation you started bombing them. Your every brutal action force them to come up with more violent tactic. Taliban were weak and against powerful, weak always resorted to terrorism, to tactics like suicide bombing. Its army which made them terrorists, for dollars.

Fair enough, We should kill a high ranking TTP, then they should not cry that PA is derailing peace process and This time we all saw, what TTP did to peace process by killing a GOC. Than majority cries that PA violates the peace process

And there is no guarantee TTP released prisoners would not fight against PA. The minute you released them, they will start fighting against PA.

They have grown strong because of the half heart Operations carried out in FATA during 2004-2009

If PA had Predator type drones and Apachee type heloo's, TTP would have been on run most of the times instead of being strengthening themselves

So what about Shia killings in Tirah valley and Chillas and Hunzaa by TTP and Hazara killings done by Afghan taliban?

First and foremost, we strongly condemn the attack on the military officers. We send our deepest and heartfelt condolences to their families. It is no secret that the nation of Pakistan is faced with many challenges in regards to terrorism. We fully support Pakistan’s effort to restore peace in the country. We share a common stance against terrorism, and the proof lies in the fact that we’ve lost thousands of brave soldiers on both sides of the border. We commend the bravery of those who have given their lives to protect the country. We greatly appreciate all of Pakistan’s sacrifices in the region. We will continue to support the government of Pakistan in its quest for peace.

so the peace talks are actually over.... practically !!

Good.RAW must help TTP achieve the creation of the islamic emirate of Waziristan. We must set up training camps in Afghanistan to train TTP operatives and arm them with chemical weaponry too to carry out chemical attacks in Pakistani Punjab. It will make Western powers feel Pakistan nukes are insecure and West will use special forces to destroy it.

Pakistan will be dispatched into civil war and soon be balkanized .The Islamic emirate of Waziristan ,Balochistan socialist republic and the rump state of Pakistan will be created. Also ,we can repeat another 1971 soon.RAW should work alongside Mossad in destroying pakistani nukes with the use of proxies like TTP and BLA.

Good luck to you, keep dreaming and wishful thinking from a confused Indian, I think you should be more concerned about rape cases in India, its fast becoming a rape capital of the world.
