Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmood is leaving for Sri Lanka today (Sunday) on a 5-day visit at the invitation of his Lankan counterpart General Jagath Jayasuriya.
According to Pakistani High Commission in Colombo, General Rashad will meet top Sri Lankan political and military leadership during his stay in Sri Lanka.
The visit of the CJCSC to Sri Lanka is of immense importance, as it will further strengthen the time tested relationship between the two friendly countries in political, strategic and economic spheres.
Pakistan is one of a few countries, which provided all out support to Sri Lanka at the UNHRC Session in Geneva.
Pakistan also offers comprehensive training facilities to Sri Lankan Army, Navy and Air Force. The cooperation in defence field has increased manifold
